Chelsea comes to us from the Pacific North West. She grew up in Portland Oregon where she graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Biology in 2004. She earned her doctor of physical therapy from Army-Baylor University in 2011. During her DPT program Chelsea researched the topic of lower extremity injury prevention. The research she participated in resulted in her being published 9 times and presenting two research posters at the American Physical Therapy Associations combined sections meeting in 2011. Chelsea severed in the United States Army as an officer and physical therapist for 7 years. Since leaving active-duty service in 2015 she has continued her career as a physical therapist in the outpatient orthopedic setting.
Her areas of interest in the field of physical therapy include mechanical diagnosis and therapy, kinesiology taping and movement to improve functional outcomes, treatment of worker's compensation patient's, intramuscular manual therapy (dry needling), manual therapy to include joint mobilization and soft tissue mobilization, and post-operative rehabilitation.
Chelsea stays active in her personal life caring for her two daughters, two dogs and chicken. Chelsea is a certified dive master and enjoys scuba diving, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, and walking her dogs with her family.
